About
Hi I’m Nick Barlow, a Consultant Radiographer who is passionate about education and advancing radiographer practice.
Over 10 years
of experience
I’ve been a general radiographer for over 10 years and have done it all… from working 24-hour shifts on the x-ray department and portables, to lecturing on x-ray interpretation at postgraduate level and undertaking research into advanced and consultant practice.
I have specialised in capturing and analysing plain film x-rays at hospitals and healthcare practices for the past 7 years. I have evaluated over a hundred thousand diagnostic images to date, presented training on traumatic injuries and chest cancers at both local and national events, and I am currently undertaking research into areas such as consultant practice and COVID-19.
I actively promote the field of radiographer reporting and advanced/consultant radiographer practice in general. As a cancer survivor, I am also passionate about educating the public about diagnostic testing and the pivotal role radiographers can play in ensuring effective, timely diagnosis for patients.
VISION STATEMENT
My vision is to take everything I have learned over the years to provide detailed educational events for healthcare students and professionals at an affordable cost from the comfort of your own home. These are designed to complement your current studies or to top up your existing knowledge base to make you more effective within your role.
